Big Emotions: Teaching parents and children skills to manage emotions and behaviors in childhood while supporting a positive connection.

Elizabeth Kittleson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with children, teens and families in private practice. Elizabeth has previous experience working in an early childhood clinic, day treatment and school setting. Elizabeth enjoys educating and coaching parents, teachers and clinicians on how to best support children as they develop and learn emotional awareness and regulation.  Elizabeth present workshops frequently in the local community to increase access to mental health resources.

This presentation will focus on key specific and workable tools to utilize at home and school to help encourage positive behaviors and emotional regulation in early childhood. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of the child’s communication with their behavior, main principals to remember and a full toolbox of ideas to improve emotion regulation and positive relationships. Attendees will also learn age appropriate developmental expectations and stages for children.
